Ink, pink, you stink, practicing your Doublethink

"His mind slipped away into the labyrinthine world of doublethink. To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them; to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it... to forget whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly forget it again: and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself. That was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become uncounscious of the act of hypnonsis you had just performed." -1984, George Orwell

This is truly the great pastime of the western world. Throughout my day, this is what i have been trained to believe. The lie that we are telling ourselves is that everything is Okay. i am Okay. You are Okay. The world is Okay. All of this is to prevent the truth from being know.

Truth #1: There is true suffering in the world.
Truth #2: i am directly or indirectly culpable for a considerable amount of the suffering in the world.
Truth #3: Justice demands that there be a reckoning for this responsibility.
Truth #4: No one posseses the currency required, in and of themselves, to repay this debt.
Truth #5: A sponsor, capable and willing of removing this debt must become involved.

The vast majority of 1st world ideology, time, entertainment, and resource is focused around the distraction from one of these major truths.

Daily, i reach for the red pill and as i swallow, taste the subtle flavour of blueness.

Miltonesque

Through this epic battle i have come, and battle still.
i stand, but not without both wound and bruise.
My strength has failed me, stumbled is my gait
My standing here, is only by the Grace of Grace Enthroned.

Standing ‘gainst that snake who’s goal is to pervert me to his will
and turn me from the Glory to which i was born and by God’s grace, reborn
to wallow in the sickness and transgression of defiling dark
and to his hope bring darkness to the undiminished Light

But here i stand, forgiven and washed clean.
Within the shadow of protective wings
and though my brow is furrowed still against the onslaught of our foe
my heart trusts desperate in the One in whom resides my hope.

Spiritual Defence

It has occured to me that every spirit defends itself according to its nature. This probably sounds obvious once it is said, but it was something new to me and becomes more interesting with some examples. For instance; a spirit of fear, when confronted, will make its host afraid so that they remove themselves from the confrontation. A spirit of rebellion will close the host's ears to any authority that may try to confront it no matter how gently or lovingly the topic is broached. A spirit of pride will avoid any deliverance situation causing the belief that the person is better than they are, again, closing their ears. It seems that a spirit can only function according to its nature. Every evil spirit is a deceptive spirit, meaning that every spirit functions to either block or distort the truth in order to protect its domain.
