Hope and Hopelessness in the Revival Generation:Part II
Despair
Those who give in to Despair deal with it in one of two ways:
1) They kill themselves (or find someone who will assist them in the endeavor)
2) They medicate themselves against the pain that naturally occurs
2a) They find another lie to believe in
Medication can take on many forms:
chemicals (street drugs, prescription medication, food, tobacco, caffeine, alcohol, excessive exercise etc.)
entertainment (movies, TV, books, music, computer games, board games, internet, sports etc.)
sex (use your imagination, no wait, don’t)
sleep
You may have noticed that everything on this list of medications (and others that aren’t) can be found in our Western Culture as an addiction.
