Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

rich:abounding in Christian virtues and eternal possessions

increased with goods:affluent in resources so that he can give blessings of salvation to all

need of nothing: need of no one, nothing

wretched:enduring toils and troubles, afflicted, wretched

miserable: to be pitied, miserable

poor: lowly, afflicted, destitute of the Christian virtues and eternal riches, helpless, powerless to accomplish an end, poor, needy

blind:blind, mentally blind

naked:naked, open, lay bare, mere grain not the plant itself
